Enseal vs ligasure

LigaSure technology is a unique combination of pressure and energy used to seal vessels, tissue bundles, and lymphatics up to and including 7mm in diameter to create a permanent, flexible seal that can withstand at least 3x systolic pressure. A new version of the ENSEAL device, the ENSEAL® X1 Large Jaw (X1, Figure 1) was recently developed to offer improved ergonomics and usability, while maintaining reliable sealing characteristics. As with previous versions of ENSEAL, coagulation of tissues is achieved via the application of bipolar electrosurgery to compressed tissue. the LigaSure AtlasTM compared to the other instruments, and it was smaller with EnSeal TM and Harmonic ACE TM . Less radial adventitial collagen denaturation was present To that end, when compared with Harmonic scalpel, LigaSure, and PKS™ cutting forceps, EnSeal demonstrated the highest mean vessel burst pressures and lowest failure rates. 1 EnSeal™ brings with it ∼1 mm of lateral thermal spread, which compares nicely to Harmonic’s ∼1 mm and LigaSure’s and PK’s ∼2 to −3 mm and 2 to 6 mm ...
